After- Before-
SUMMER HOME MAKEOVER

“I cannot change the world, but I can
change someone’s world today.”
– Huldah Buntain

This summer, Need-A-Break Services has been in full throttle! This week we painted a house and did major gardening for a local elderly community member who was unable to do the work herself. Along with twenty-five workers, the job was completed in one day and the house looks as good as new! The project was done with the help of Paint Tacoma-Pierce Beautiful, a local program through Associated Ministries that organizes volunteers and crews to paint low-income families’ homes. In this act of service, we were able to change one woman’s day. She now lives in a home where some tender loving care and the help of local community members has brought new beauty in her daily life.

This is just one example of our summer fun and service! So much more has been done and will keep happening as we continue to wrap up these summer months. Our goal here is to help people succeed. We help community members by being a stepping-stone to becoming their best.
Need-A-Break Services strives to help community members who are in need by providing one-time gifts such as car repair, home repair, furniture and other gifts to help them through a rough time.
As we continue to grow, we continue to see how there are many people in our community who are in need of a break when they hit a rough spot. We are aware of the need in the community for people who need a helping hand and we are trying to link people with resources.

OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteers are always welcome! We can always use donations in the skills of: Construction, Concrete, Plumbing, Sheet rocking, Electrical, Mechanics, Computer Technicians, Landscapers, Painters, Roofers, Transportation, Financial Counseling, And Many More!

Donations are a great way to be involved in Need-A-Break Services! As we continue to grow, there is a larger amount of community members we are able to access who “need a break." Since we are fully funded by donations by people like you, be assured that every donation is vital to the work we do.
